Rixos The Palm Hotel & Suites - Ultra All Inclusive

Staff were very helpful throughout our stay.

Excellent service. The staff was very attentive and responsive. The chief at the restaurant was cooking fries for our kid as she requested fries only and didn’t except anything else. The girl at the reception (unfortunately don’t remember her name) upgraded our room which was very nice.

We’ve stayed 2 nights only and didn’t notice anything we wouldn’t like.

Kids club

It is soooooo overpriced! 3 nights in a 3 bedroom apartment will cost you 10k ($) so you expect luxury. The apartment was clean, the furniture old, the bathrooms were so run down and old it is embarrassing- I would say 3 * hotel. Absolutely not what I expected given the price. The resort is all inclusive ( the wine list includes the cheapest wines you can imagine and Prosecco - no champagne) the food is ok but nothing amazing, very average. The service is the restaurants is great, the check in desk not friendly otherwise all of the staff helpful and friendly. We had a big issue with baby cot they provided for our child. It was a playpen with no matters, in place of the matters they folded a duvet and covers it with oversized loose bedsheet. I was horrified when I saw this and there is no way any parent would risked their child’s life and let them sleep in that. They did changed the crop for an appropriate one it only took an hour and a half past our check in time (nap time) and the crib was requested before we arrived. There was construction going on outside our window so we had to ask for them to stop - our friends who stayed in the 3 bed suit had the same issue. Overall I think this place needs to close down for a big renovation and improvements. Someone has to brief them on child safety. Pools are not heated. The lovely water park pool was also not heated most small children were playing in the hot tub because the pools were freezing cold. Hot tub was not hot but it was definitely not as cold as the pools. I would not recommend this property if you are looking for luxury and value for money.

Everything was 100%. All food and drink was of a very high standard, even the buffet was fab, sushi every night (a dream for me!) Buffets can be a disaster on an all inclusive but not here. Didn’t have a problem getting into the bookable restaurants, might be worth seeing if you can book these before you arrive if you want certain times. Our favourite was Bodrum, for lunch and dinner! Service was exceptional, every single staff member always had a smile on their face and genuinely seemed happy to be there. Lots of activities going on during the day if you wanted to join in. The main pool was predominantly families and was very busy. We stayed away (!) and went to the beach which was very quiet. Loads of sun-beds, never had a problem getting one, this might have been an issue around the main pool as so many people, but didn’t affect us. I used the lap pool most mornings and was often the only person in there. It’s 42m long. The gym was great, very well equipped, quite small for the size of the hotel though.

This is purely our fault, more research needed!. We felt out on a limb with nothing to do around us that didn’t involve the hotel. Luckily we did want to lie in the sun for a week and not move too much so it worked, but if you like to wander about there’s nothing there, well not that we found. The only gripe about the room - no full length mirror. Why do so many hotels not have these? I dont want to use a mirror in the hallway or the lift!

The restaurants and bars were amazing. The buffet is extensive. I loved the pool area with the fruit and ice cream booths. Our room was a wellness room with jacuzzis and an amazing patio which we spent most of our daytime in. The gym is state of the art. The staff friendly and everything is new and clean.

It is difficult to get reservations in the restaurants even though they didn’t appear full. You can only use the buffet if you are there for fewer than four nights. I think restaurants should be available to everyone who has paid to stay there

The hotel is very clean and tidy and there are plenty of things to do around the hotel complex.

The Hotel was on the Palm which is quite a distance from main attractions in Dubai.

Everyone was so friendly and helpful and the ability for the resort to be child friendly but also feel exclusive and not tacky was brilliant. The food was wonderful, be sure to book the a la carte restaurants in advance though as they do get booked up.

We really like the various food choice. When you do all exclusive it's mostly about food/drinks and there the hotel excelled and was really good experience. We especially liked the fact that an earlier check-in was accommodated since it was possible and we get to enjoy several restaurants on relatively short stay.

This probably was a 5-star hotel at some point, but right now, it is dated. The rooms need to be updated - they are overused and need renovation to qualify for five stars. 4 sure, but not 5 star.

From the moment we arrived the staff were amazing. They allocated us our own staff contact who was available via WhatsApp whenever we needed. The room was huge and exceeded our expectations. The food options for breakfast, lunch and dinner venting meal couldn’t be faulted.

Maybe an option to have access to snacks between the buffet restaurant opening times for kids. The patisserie in reception was amazing and open til 2am which was a nice touch, but this is more for adult indulgence. Maybe somewhere just to pick up some fries, pizza or burger for the fussy eating children would go down well but this is in no way a criticism, just a suggestion.

Excellent gym facilities and classes. Food choice was exceptional and delicious. The staff were very accommodating- so helpful.

Even thought we chose the location for where it was on the palm, we underestimated the time in a taxi it was to get off. I

Amazing food & drinks & facilities for children

Far from everything but suited us as we didn’t want to travel much & stayed in the resort. We loved it.

Staff is lovely and very professional - on another level, food was great, overall amazing experience will definitely come back.

N/A - maybe the location can be an issue as it’s far from the centre and the traffic on the Palm is atrocious, but that’s not the hotel’s fault.
